Friday June 14

12 noon – 17.00 hs Open gardens on the way to the event
Visit one or several of our 10 open gardens in and around Göteborg. Find them here.

15.00-18.00 Check-in
At Åby Arena in Mölndal, you’ll be able to pick up your tickets and name tag.

19.00 Mingle get-together
Join us at Gothenburg Botanical Garden for a get-together with some snacks and bubbly drinks. Price SEK 200. Guided tours in the new buildings SEK 50.

Saturday June 15

07.30-08.30 Check-in
At Åby Arena in Mölndal, you’ll be able to pick up your tickets and name tag.

08.30-16.30 Join us on garden visits.
The buses will depart from Åby Arena. Find garden presentations here. Price SEK 530, lunch and refreshments included.

16.30-18.30 Check-in
At Åby Arena in Mölndal, you’ll be able to pick up your tickets and name tag.

18.30-19.30 Mingle before dinner
Buy your lottery tickets and look at all the magnificent prizes.

19.30-22.00 A three-course dinner with a glass of wine will be served. At the end of the evening the big lottery will be held. Price SEK 500.

Sunday June 16

08.30-12.00 Bus to Jonsered Gardens and Växtrum i Lerum (mini parks designed by well-known garden personalities in Sweden)
The bus will depart from Åby Arena and will return via the botanical garden. Price SEK 140. There’s a cafeteria at Jonsered Gardens.

08.30-09.30 Scott Cook at Lagerhuset, Trädgårdsföreningen
Scott will tell us about the bulb collections in the Royal Botanical Garden of Edinburgh. Price SEK 150.

09.30-10.30 Jim Jermyn at Lagerhuset, Trädgårdsföreningen
Jim used to run Edrom Nurseries and is now travelling all over the world to see plants in their native habitats. He will share with us the best alpine and woodland plants of Japan. Price SEK 150.

09.30-10.30 Guided tour of Trädgårdsföreningen, including the Rock Garden woodland. Price SEK 50.

11.00-12.00 Gunnel Carlsson at Lagerhuset, Trädgårdsföreningen (in Swedish)
Gunnel is a well-known gardening profile in Sweden and has written several books including one about Galanthus and galanthophilia. She will talk about gardening in Sweden and the influence of the Society of Amateur gardeners. Price SEK 100.

12.00-17.00 Information

13.30-16.30 Plant market in the botanical garden
There will be sellers from many countries offering rare and exciting plants. We recommend you to bring cash and if possible Euros. Read more about the plant sellers here.
